Statement by professor Higa
Med anledning av att alltflera företag marknadsför sina produkter med referenser till EM och Prof. Higa utan att produkterna i fråga har något samröre med EMRO eller den försöksverksamt och forskning som ledsagar utvecklingen inom EMRO och EM Teknologin, gör Prof. Higa följande uttalande.

Re: Authenticity of Effective Microorganisms™, EM Technology™ and 
EM•1® in your country 

Dear Effective Microorganisms™ (EM™) users, 

As the original developer of the technology that combines 
microorganisms for various beneficial uses, I named my 
discovery “Effective Microorganisms™” or “EM™” and started to use the 
term internationally in 1986. “Effective Microorganisms™” has been in 
continuous use since then to describe the specific technology that I 
discovered. With this public statement I wish to confirm my allegiance 
with EM Research Organization (EMRO) and their partner organizations 
and distributors who are rightfully representing the authentic and 
original Effective Microorganisms Technology™ and products developed 
by myself and EMRO in their respective territories. In addition, I 
would like to issue this statement in response to untrue claims 
various entities around the world are making concerning their 
association with myself, the brand, and/or with EM Research 
Organization (EMRO). 

In 1994, EM Research Organization (EMRO) was designated, by me, to own 
and manage all of the trademarks and the Know-how for products 
utilizing the technology and brand that I developed, Effective 
Microorganisms™. 

Effective Microorganisms™ is a brand name for various products which I 
have developed. EM•1®, EM-X®, and several other variations are 
registered trademarks of product names under the Effective 
Microorganisms™ brand. Effective Microorganisms™ is NOT a generic 
term, as some entities are trying to claim, nor is it used in the 
scientific vernacular to describe something other than the brand and 
original product(s) I developed over the past 30+ years. 

EM Research Organization (EMRO) and myself are working together with 
affiliate offices throughout the world to promote and further develop 
the technology of Effective Microorganisms™. Please do not confuse the 
technology and products which I developed with other brands which may 
copy or resemble them. The EM•1® and other Effective Microorganisms™ 
brand products which were developed by me carry the EMRO logo and are 
marketed internationally through EMRO and its partner organizations 
and distributors worldwide. 

Thank you for your continuing support of the Effective Microorganisms™ 
brand.
